Sometimes, we get caught up in our busy schedules and having to juggle our priorities day after day. At times it can be hard to just take a step back to focus on our mind, bodies and soul. After a while, I had to learn how to make myself feel good and start focusing on ME! Here are some tips to develop a routine to feeling like a perfect 10.
1. Pampering
This is definitely a #1 for me. I definitely love to take care of myself especially my body. Taking care of your hair, doing your nails and makeup makes a whole big difference. It completely changes my mood and makes me feel so much better about myself when I’m having a bad day like HELLO GIRL SLAY ☺ (If pampering like this isn’t for you, you can always go get facials or go to a spa) De-stress!
2. Treat Yourself
Yes, treat yourself. A little gift to yourself here and there wont hurt. Craving for some ice cream or some of your favorite food? Want to shop? No problem, just don’t indulge in it too much. I mean after all you’ll feel 10x better.
3. Scrub and Moisturize Your Skin
I cannot emphasis this enough. Taking care of your skin is key to a healthy glow! Take a scrub bubble bath or even moisturize your skin after a bath with oils and lotion. My go to products are Shea Butter and my favorite lotion Warm Vanilla Sugar from Bath and Body Works with Lavender Oil.
4. Wax/Shave
If you know me you know I love the whole notion of taking care of your private area. Getting a wax makes you feel like a brand new person each and every time.
5. Keep it sexy underneath
Now I know this might sound weird but I absolutely love shopping for underwear’s.
The feeling of having sexy underwear makes me feel like a model inside.
If I pass by a Victoria Secret best believe you will see me walk out with 5 pairs of underwear each time. Their 5/$27 deal is absolutely great! P.S Calvin Klein undies are also a great steal.
6. BREATHE!
Feeling overwhelmed? Take a break, sit back and relax. Rest your mind! One thing that definitely helps me to just forget about all the weight on my shoulders is by sitting back on my bed with the lights off and burning my favorite candles from Bath and Body Works. Sometimes taking a 20-30 minute nap helps as well!
7. PRAY!
Last but not least, PRAY! Now I don’t know if many of you are Christian believers or follow any religious affiliation but prayer just takes me to a whole another place with God! He is the key to answering my troubles, happiness, and blessings. Praying to God and just thanking him for all that he has done for you keeps you going! I know for me I always ask God to continue to help me during the times I feel below a 10.
