Best Recipe To Make Whether You’re Single or Taken on Valentines Day

Its that time of the year again! Valentine’s Day is slowly upon us. I don’t know about you but growing up I hated Valentine’s Day. Truth be told, I hated it for one reason and one reason only. I was single each and every Valentine’s Day..up until this year! I always believed Valentine’s Day is a day where you receive flowers, candy, letters and gifts from your spouse topped off with a romantic evening out. I would always feel sad and depressed on this day because everyone around me would receive gifts and sweet messages and I was pretty much just there… This is all because society has commercialized this holiday in such a way that if you do not get anything that you are worthless, unloved and lonely. Wrong!

P.S – Did you know you can celebrate Valentine’s Day on any day of the year?

A few years ago my perspective on Valentines Day began to change. I realized that it is a socially constructed holiday that has turned into a moneymaking business. Now do not get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with celebrating Valentine’s Day, but do we really have to make it such a big deal?

Here is why I am here to make it simple for you. Whether you’re taken or single, you can treat yourself to a nice home cooked meal. During my junior year of college, I decided to start cooking more recipes. Fortunately for me, I landed on these quick and simple food videos. I absolutely love it. FYI- It is called Tasty! I would literally save my favorite recipes and try them in my free time. There was one particular recipe I made that took my breath away. Not only was it simple, but it was so yummy! Funny enough, I clicked it because it said “Steak Dinner for Two”. If you know me, you know that I love steak. Secondly, I made a joke to my friend and said I would learn how to make this meal so that I can cook this for my husband one day. Silly right? Anywho, this recipe turned into a dinner for one and that is what I call self-love.. okay!

First, all you will need is: Butter, Garlic Cloves, Flour, Milk, Salt, Pepper, Gold Potatoes, Parmesan Cheese, Lettuce, Croutons, Bacon, Avocado, Ceaser Dressing, Ribeye Steak, Oil, Rosemary, Thyme.

Second: Click here to follow the tutorial video.

Third: Don’t forget one or two wine glasses perhaps if you’re having someone join you. A nice bottle of wine and some candles.

Fourth: Start to cooking…

You have yourself a nice cooked Garlic Butter Steak with some Scalloped Potatoes topped off with a Bacon Avocado Cesar Salad.

Hope yours will come out as good as mine.

February 14th might be the day of “Love”, but who says you can’t indulge in a little bit of self-love! After all, everyone deserves taking charge of his or her own well-being and happiness.

Wow nice and simple but very nice. Thanks for sharing. I don’t do Valentine’s Day. We use to before and the expectations was just adding too much pressure on our relationship so we opted just just be spontaneous with expressing our love to each other.

    P.s love your website
